SELECTING A CAR ACCIDENT LAWYER

Selecting a Car Accident Lawyer

Many factors come to mind when looking for a car accident lawyer, and one of the main things is to make sure you are comfortable with the attorney you choose. Make sure he or she is answering your questions and addressing any concerns you may have such that you have confidence in their ability to handle your car accident claim.

Many people have not been required to hire a lawyer in the past but find themselves injured in a car accident and require a lawyer to deal with the insurance company and legal issues.

It is a good idea to research the attorneys you are considering and look to personal references and the lawyer’s reputation in the community. Many organizations rank attorneys, some of which are pretty good, particularly those that use peer review ratings by other lawyers. More info on this website

Selecting a car accident lawyer can sometimes involve interviewing several lawyers to find the firm you are most comfortable with. A car accident victim should be concerned about the recovery process and not have to worry about an automobile insurance claim.

Finally, when making your final selection, it is usually a good idea to look for those attorneys who specialize or whose practice is limited to one particular area, such as personal injury.

Personal Injury and Motorcycle Accident Attorneys

Personal Injury and Motorcycle Accident Attorneys

Because motorcycles do not offer the physical protection that autos do, motorcycle riders are much more susceptible to catastrophic injuries, such as spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, fractured bones, and wrongful death.

According to the national highway traffic safety administration:

In 2021, there were 109,000 motorcycle accidents, 62,000 involving a motor vehicle collision. While 2,881 crashes were fatal, 42,000 resulted in injuries and 18,000 in property damage. Other accidents were collisions with a fixed object, collisions with something that was not stationary, and non-collisions.

Motorcyclists were about 34 times more likely than passenger car occupants to die in a motor vehicle crash and eight times more likely to be injured.

If you have been involved in a motorcycle or ATV accident, you can benefit from early representation from an experienced and proactive motorcycle accident lawyer. Do not let the insurance company put their financial interests in front of you and lead you into a quick, unfair settlement.

You have numerous legal rights if you have suffered a head, spinal cord, neck injury, or any other injury in a motorcycle accident caused by another driver’s negligence. Some of those include, but are not limited to:

reimbursement for damage to your motorcycle
medical expenses for the past and future
lost wages in the past and future
compensation for pain and suffering

Some used a motorcycle as their sole source of transportation while in college. Additionally, our lawyers possess knowledge of insurance companies and their practices in attempting to settle motorcycle accident claims quickly. The following statement underpins the concept of dedication to supporting the individuals’ right to self-representation by designing self-help do-it-yourself kits for many areas of the law.

“Pro se’ representation (representing yourself) is firmly embedded in American jurisprudence yet, for a layperson, this conceptual right is but a meaningless truism without the corresponding abilities to see through a legal maze and use the complicated procedural mechanisms necessary to vindicate that right. “ Moses Apsan, Esq., Assisting the Pro Se Litigant: Unauthorized Practice of Law or the Fulfillment of a Public Need, 3 NYLRev XXVIII (1983).

Many legal proceedings do not require the assistance of anyone, not even a lawyer. The right to self-representation is universally accepted and has been protected by law since the creation of the American government. The Judiciary Act of 1789, enacted by the first Congress and signed by President Washington the day before the sixth amendment specifically provided that “in all the courts of United States, the parties may plead and manage their own causes personally.” The United States Courts of Appeals have repeatedly held that the right of self-representation is protected by the Bill of Rights. Similarly, the individual states, with few exceptions, accord an individual the right of self-representation, explicitly conferring that right in their state constitutions and corresponding statutes. Many state courts, in accord with federal courts, have opined that the right is supported by the United States Constitution. The American Bar Association [ABA], in its Code of Professional Ethics, recognizes that “anyone who does not wish to avail himself of [legal] representation is not required to do so.” With this in mind, this Do it Yourself Law Kit has been designed.

This kit is not intended to replace a lawyer who is the only person qualified to analyze your individual facts and give a legal opinion. Although every effort is made to have this kit up to date, immigration laws and corresponding laws, rules, and regulations are constantly changing.
